Georgia Woman Found Fatally Stabbed Inside Her Gated Buckhead Home, Suspects Stole Her SUV

Atlanta police say a woman was found dead inside her home located in a gated neighborhood in Buckhead on Saturday.

The Fulton County Medical Examiner’s office identified the victim as 77-year-old Eleanor Bowles, who was found around 5:30 pm. Authorities believe she was killed around 11:30 am.

Bowles’ home is located inside a gated community on Paces West Terrace in Buckhead.

At this time, no arrest has been made but police suspect foul play.

Homicide commander Lt. Dearlove said the suspects also stole the victim’s Lexus SUV and they have surveillance video of a person of interest.

The car was later found by police Saturday night in DeKalb County but was driven throughout the city before that, 11Alive News reported.

Bowles was discovered by her son who came home for the holiday.

A reward of $10,000 is being offered in the case. Citizens are urged to contact Crime Stoppers with any information at 404-577-TIPS(8477).
