Ghislaine Maxwell might be fighting for her freedom through an appeal, but even if she wins, life outside prison won’t be anything close to normal. The convicted sex trafficker, known for her deep ties to Jeffrey Epstein, faces a strict five-year supervised release plan once she finishes her 20-year sentence, unless she beats her appeal, which she claims is based on not getting “a fair trial.”
Winning that kind of appeal is “always an uphill battle,” especially for someone so closely linked to Epstein, who remains one of America’s most hated criminals. Court documents obtained by TMZ reveal that if Maxwell is released, she’ll be under constant federal watch.
According to those documents, Maxwell will be required to undergo “a sex-offense evaluation, outpatient sex offender treatment and/or an outpatient mental health program.” She’ll also have to submit to regular polygraph exams.
The conditions are tight. She’s prohibited from accessing “websites, chatrooms, and social networking sites,” especially those tied to minors, unless given prior federal approval. She’s also barred from having “deliberate contact with minors” and must stay 100 feet from schoolyards, arcades, and other places kids gather.
And when it comes to adult content, the court made it clear that Maxwell “must not view or download adult porn” unless her treatment provider allows it, which is highly unlikely.
There’s also an absolute ban on “physical, visual, written, or phone contact” with her victims.
Maxwell was found guilty in 2021 of multiple charges tied to helping Epstein exploit minors between 1994 and 2004.
