Gucci Mane Forgives Young Thug for Jail Call Comments — Credits Drake's Past Olive Branch During His Own Mental Episode [Video]

Gucci Mane is in his forgiveness era.

During a sit-down on the “Big Facts Podcast” promoting his new album and book, both titled “Episodes,” the Atlanta rap legend opened up about making peace with both Drake and Young Thug after a few rocky moments in their friendships.

Gucci reflected on a difficult time in his life when he says he wasn’t in the best mental space.

“I said some bulls**t about Drake…texted him some crazy junk,” he admitted. But after coming out of that episode, he reached back out and offered a sincere apology. “I was going through something,” he said, sharing that Drake didn’t hold it against him and responded with grace: “We’re going to get past that. Brothers go through stuff.”

That moment stuck with Gucci, showing him the value of forgiveness. It also shaped how he handled a more recent issue with Young Thug. In leaked jail audio, Thug had called Gucci “soft,” but the 1017 founder says he didn’t take it to heart, especially after hearing Thug later drop a track titled “I Miss My Dawgs,” which expressed his regret over the remarks.

“I immediately accepted the apology,” Gucci said. “Because I done been there. And I wanted somebody to forgive me.”

Guwop admitted the two haven’t spoken directly, but he is open.

“It’s like a weight on you… you want somebody to say, ‘Bruh, it’s okay,'” he added.

Thug has not yet commented on Gucci’s show of support.
