The free race will welcome participants of all skill levels to join him on the course, combining fitness, philanthropy, and music in one event.
The marathon is being organized in partnership with NYCRUNS and Gunna’s nonprofit, Gunna’s Great Giveaway.
While there is no entry fee for the run on September 3rd, those taking part will have the option to donate to charities of their choice through the platform. Registration is now open for anyone interested in being part of the event.
Fitness has become a defining part of Gunna’s life since his release from Fulton County jail in 2022. He has consistently shared workouts with his fans and even highlighted exercise in the music video for “Won’t Stop.”
His passion has also influenced his business ventures, including investments in the hydration brand Flerish and the supplement company Cymbiotika.
The upcoming run also ties directly into Gunna’s new music. His album, “The Last Wun,” reflects on survival, perseverance, and the importance of growth in an industry that often moves at a relentless pace.
By hosting the 5K, Gunna is presenting more than a promotional event. It is a personal statement about his transformation and the lifestyle he has chosen since pleading guilty and accepting a plea deal in the YSL RICO trial.
For Gunna, the Wunna Run 5K is not just about crossing the finish line. It represents balance, resilience, and the continued pursuit of longevity both in life and in music.
