Harlem Globetrotters Offering Free Tickets To Furloughed Government Employees During Shutdown

The World famous Harlem Globetrotters have announced that they are offering complimentary tickets to all furloughed U.S. government workers.

ESPN is reporting that the basketball team is offering two complimentary tickets to their 2019 Fan Powered World Tour until the end of the government shutdown, which is now in its 26th day.

“As the Ambassadors Of Goodwill, we want to show our support to all those government workers whose paychecks and by extension their families, are directly impacted,” Globetrotters president Howard Smith said in a statement.

With 800,000 federal employees working without pay, many families are deeply affected by this shutdown, which is now the longest government shutdown in U.S. history.
