Dracarys! HBO Max Crashes During Premiere Of ‘House Of The Dragon’

HBO Max reportedly had a major meltdown after users seemingly blew up the platform for the premiere of “Game of Thrones” prequel “House of the Dragon.”

Game of Thrones is back, but this time we’re going back in time to learn the story of the Targaryen empire in the series prequel “House of the Dragon.” The first episode premiered this past Sunday, and in true fashion, it brought the house down after followers caused the HBO Max streaming platform to crash.

At least 3,000 viewers weren’t able to watch the highly-anticipated series premiere, and it led to a slew of complaints online. While we’re all just thinking, “there’s a lot of Game of Thrones fans out there,” a spokesperson from HBO says it was actually viewers who were trying to connect to the app via Amazon devices.

House of the Dragon is being successfully viewed by millions of HBO Max subscribers this evening,” said HBO in a statement, The Hollywood Reporter reports. “We’re aware of a small portion of users attempting to connect via Fire TV devices that are having issues and are in the process of resolving for those impacted users.”

We’re sure this won’t be the last time Game of Thrones fans shut some ish down for the cult-followed TV fave.
