Charlamagne tha God has an interesting theory about Donald Trump’s views on the presidency.
On Monday, the media star shared his thoughts on the Republican candidate’s campaign. According to Charlamagne, Trump appears to be tired of running for a second White House bid.
“I feel like Trump wants the Republicans to do to him what the Democrats did to Biden,” Charlamagne said during “The Breakfast Club.”
In July, President Joe Biden stepped out of the race, giving Kamala Harris his blessing to run for the remainder of the election. Seemingly overnight, she garnered a wave of public support, with her campaign raising millions within days. While Trump frequently criticized Biden for his age, especially after their June debate, he did seemingly defend Biden.
During an early August speech at Mar-a-Lago, Trump expressed that the presidency was “taken away” from Biden. He has since unleashed countless personal attacks on Harris. Trump has called out Harris’ ethnicity and her looks, telling his Pennsylvania crowd days ago that he looks better than the Democratic nominee.

Charlamagne also believes that Trump’s assassination attempt may have played a role in Trump actually being tired of campaigning.
“I think it’s a form of PTSD. The man did just get shot at, let’s be clear. And your response to trauma is to just stay busy,” Charlamagne shared. “I don’t think he wants to be out there no more.”
For now, there is no indication that Trump will leave the race.
