Ballerific Travel: Hong Kong is Giving Away 500,000 Free Flights. Here’s How You Can Enter

Travelers may want to get in on this! Hong Kong is giving away 500,000 free flights to travelers from all over the world to visit.

The campaign, “Hello Hong Kong,” was created by Hong Kong’s Tourism Board earlier this year. Travelers can try their chances of winning a ticket–which are limited–through the Cathay Pacific website starting at 8 p.m. ET on May 17.

Winners will win a round-trip economy ticket but must still pay airport fees and taxes. Travelers are also responsible for any rebooking or no-show fees. Tickets are non-exchangeable.

The free flights to Hong Kong will depart from Los Angeles, San Francisco, Boston, and New York.

“Both the local public and all visitors from around the world can now enjoy the many experiences in Hong Kong to the fullest,” Dr. Pang Yiu-kai, chairman of the Hong Kong Tourism Board, said in a statement. “This not only directly marks Hong Kong’s full return to normal but also gives a shot in the arm to the revival of our tourism industry.”

For travelers interested, they must first become a Cathay member and then visit the promotional page on the airline’s official website to get a promo code book.

Tickets will be available on a first-come, first-served basis and limited to one ticket per transaction. Winners must travel within nine months of the purchase date and stay in Hong Kong for at least two days. Winners can’t stay longer than one month.

Hong Kong has lifted all its travel restrictions and done away with COVID-19 testing and quarantine requirements.
