Ice Cube is not holding back when it comes to his views on immigration enforcement.

During a recent appearance on The Cruz Show on Real 92.3 in Los Angeles, the hip-hop legend expressed frustration over what he sees as the federal government’s over-the-top approach to immigration raids.
Cube said it’s painful to watch people being “disrespected like that,” especially when enforcement agents are showing up at places of worship, weddings, and even schools. He believes there’s a right way to handle immigration issues, but the current strategy is “overdoing it” and causing unnecessary harm.
He also criticized the inconsistency in government policy, noting that the country keeps “flip-flopping” — one day it’s lenient, the next it’s strict. That unpredictability, he says, makes it impossible for people to know where they stand.
According to Cube, the fallout goes beyond undocumented immigrants. Even those who are in the country legally are now hesitant to leave their homes out of fear of being harassed or having their documents scrutinized. “Nobody’s safe, man,” he said, adding that enforcement agents don’t seem to care whether they’re targeting elderly people, children, or women.
For Cube, the tactics aren’t just about removing individuals — they’re about sending a message. He accused authorities of trying to traumatize not only those being taken but also those witnessing the raids. Calling the approach “played out,” he made it clear he’s looking forward to the day this chapter is over.
