Interview with King Magazines own Sheneka Adam’s

This week I had the chance to sit down the beautiful well know model Sheneka Adam’s. Most people only get to see her when she is hard at work in her career as model. I had the chance to get to meet her and know the real her. She express to me the types of guys she like to the things she like to do in her free time. She express to me some tips that young girls going in the industry should look out for. So take some time and get to know this beautiful young woman.

BA: Tell me, how did you get your start in modeling?

S:  Well, it was something similar to Myspace this photographer hit me up and I took some pictures after I took the pictures I started to get calls and it basically went from there.

BA: Ok, when you came into the modeling industry who would you say was your inspiration?

S: I really looked up to Beyonce I love how when she is off the stage she is just Beyonce but once she goes on the stage she is Sasha Fierce. That is exactly who I want to be like because that is exactly how     I ‘am when  I’m just chilling with my friends I’m Sheneka Adams but when I’m doing photoshoots, videos, interviews etc I’m GIGI my alter ego(Laughs).

BA: I know that a lot of people see you when you’re modeling but what type of person would you say your friends and family describe you as?

S: When I’m taking pictures and  things I’m in full glamour but when I’m around my friends and family I’m more chill. I wear my Ugg boots and shorts, tank tops and no make-up hair in a ponytail. I’m just a goofy outgoing person who likes to have fun I think they would describe me as such.

BA: Having to be able to do things from photoshoots to magazine cover I have seen you’re really in shape. What do you do to stay in shape?

S: I try to work out five times a week when I’m in town. It’s all about eating right and eating in portions because some people think “oh I eat once a day I won’t gain any weight” actually you’ll gain more weight that way. Like I said it’s all about portions and how much you eat. I also do a lot of work on my abs I may do a hundred crunches and I jog a lot it helps the calf muscles and things like that. I mainly try to focus on my abs because I show my stomach a lot.

BA: How was your experience doing King Magazine?

S: That was one of the more professional shots that I have been on I really enjoyed it, it was fun, it was hot and sexy everybody was nice having a good time. I really enjoyed it I was happy with being blessed to get that experience.

BA: I know that not only do you do modeling but that you host a lot of parties and events. Would you say that you like your modeling career better than hosting events?

S: Actually , I like both of them equally the hosting side I like that because it gives people a chance to see my personality and see who I ‘am as a person. Not just a photo I get to interact with the fans I get to be my shelf and connect with the fans, it’s always good when you can connect with them.

BA: Discussing that I know that sometimes people in this industry from blogs to magazines they try to compare you with other vixens and models in the industry. What do you say when they do that?

S: I mean there is nothing wrong with begin compared to someone but I see my shelf very different from most. I’m not only a model I’m a blogger, a writer I’m mainly focusing on making myself a brand not just a model I thinking about the future. Even ten from now you can’t be a model forever realistically because there is always going to be a younger fresher face.

BA: So I know there are always rumors surfacing on the blogs about who you are dating and sometime it might just be trash. What type of guy do you look for?

S: I like guys that I can hold a conversation with I need someone that can make me laugh, cry, smile all the above. I need someone more than just because they look hot, they may look the part but might not be the things on my list.

BA: Along with that when dating a guy or being interested in someone is money a big factor?

S: I wouldn’t really say that it is but as a woman I think we all like someone who has a foundation. Someone who has it together, just like men like women that have it together.

BA: So we discuss that you won’t be able to be a model forever and that there are fresher faces coming into the industry. What words of advice would you give to girls who admire you and want to follow in your footsteps?

S: You definitely have to research your craft what I mean by that is that there are a lot of people out here who sell dreams. There are guys that might come up to girls who are just starting in the industry and don’t know much and tell them you have to pay all this money for a photoshoot or pay them to be their manger . First off you never pay anyone to be your manger your manager gets pay when you do girls don’t know that. That is I why tell them research your craft. If you don’t know try to ask someone for advice that has been in the industry.

BA: More than just modeling what are things that you like to do a side from when you’re working?

S: One thing I like to do is eat (laughs) so I’m always like lets go out to eat I just like to hangout  and surf the blog and update mine as well. I mainly just like to hang out with my friends and family.

BA: I also heard you have a book coming out now how true is that?

S: That is true I’m writing a book I’m taking my time with it I want it to be done the right way. I’m not writing a tale all people may have heard that it’s not true. I’m not trying to slander anyone’s name I’m not trying to be a Superhead I’ve been compared to her a few times. I feel like whatever you do behind closed doors with someone is between you and them. I’m just trying a write a book to girls and let them know how my life has been thus far in the industry. I just want to share my story with people.

BA: It has been truly great getting to know more about you and seeing the person that you are other than things I may hear. What are something’s that you have coming up?

S: My King Magazine cover is coming out later on this year, I have done few a shoots with some other magazines so stay tune for that. I’m working on my book that will be coming out later next year also my blog a Vixengossip.com. Also people can stay updated with me on my twitter @ShenekaAdams
