J.Cole is Reportedly Joining the Canadian Elite Basketball League

J. Cole is not giving up his basketball dreams. The Dreamville founder is now playing professional basketball for the Canadian Elite Basketball League.

On Thursday, The Athletic’s Sham Charania announced the news of Cole’s future endeavors. Cole will be suiting up for the Scarborough Shooting Stars and playing in their season opener on May 26th.

J. Cole is signing contract with the Scarborough Shooting Stars in the Canadian Elite Basketball League, the rap star’s second consecutive year playing professionally,” Charania wrote. “CEBL training camp began this week, with the season opener on May 26.”

At 37-years-old, Cole is continuing to work hard on his game with hopes of getting signed to the NBA. Last September, Cole participated in some scrimmage matches with the Orlando Magic team. He has also been known to work out with some NBA stars.

Around this time last year, Cole was playing for the Basketball Africa League‘s Rwanda Patriots. During his stint with the team, Cole racked up five points, three assists, and five rebounds in 45 minutes.
