On Friday, the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office released police body camera footage from April, when an officer shot and killed an ax-wielding man.
Police were dispatched to Morse Avenue just before 4 a.m. on April 21 in response to a report “regarding a mentally ill individual.”
Sheriff T.K. Waters said officers initially had trouble finding the individual but made contact with Kevin Mahan, 43, in a wooded area after being dispatched for the second time at around 11:30 a.m.
“One of our officers at that point walked through a wooded area of a small field where he saw the subject standing behind some woods holding a hatchet, a small ax,” Waters said. “He (the officer) announced, ‘put the hatchet down.’ They announced three more times, ‘put the ax down.'”
Looked like murder to me. There was no way this man was able to hurt the cop from that far away. This cop wanted to kill someone and did so with great malice and forethought. This proves to me even more, that you are in danger of being murdered if you are in shooting distance of a damned cop. Those that stand up for the cop, are those who want to be just like him. Cops are violence junkies, and serial murderers.

I am sick of these cops he gave him no chance why couldn’t he taser him or wait my god what the hell how can this cop live with himself i hope the family gets all their money sue this ass holes if it was a black person getting dhot they would have riots all over man so cops no now shoot white people!!! google cop shoots man on Groesbeck high way in Michigan the guy just got into a bad accident then gets out of his truck a white guy holding a pocket knife cops shoot him like 6 time they shot him then he fell then they said Hes still moving then all 3 cops shoot him why Hes dying on the ground!!! sorry about my spelling and stuff im so upset

Executing the mentally ill is nothing new in law enforcement. They’re just now being caught. They want a war & they are going to lose. We out arm & out smart pigs.
