Subway’s Jared Fogle is challenging his 15-year jail sentence and is gearing up to appeal his sentence.
In November, Fogle plead guilty to sex with minors and child pornography charges and was sentenced to 15.6 years in prison. He was also diagnosed with “mild pedophilia” and hyper-sexuality.” According to Fogle, he is being punished for his fantasies. His attorneys say the judge had no right to exceed the maximum sentencing guideline, 13 years, citing the judge as saying, This defendant is obsessed with child pornography and having sex with minors. He fantasized about it in telephone conversations.”
Fogle’s lawyers believe that fantasies should not be held against him in criminal court. They say the fantasies and “requests to third parties” were never acted upon. They are requesting an appeal and another sentencing hearing.
