Harlem’s favorite meteorologist is officially back on the streets. As Winter Storm Fern continues to dump snow and ice across the East Coast, Jim Jones has revived his legendary “Weavahman Jim” persona to give the streets the weather report they actually need.

In a viral video that has the internet in stitches, the Dipset rapper was seen braving the arctic temperatures with a tape measure in hand to get an accurate reading of the accumulation. According to his professional (and highly enthusiastic) estimation, the city has been hit with a solid five to seven inches of snow in less than 24 hours. Reacting in pure disbelief at the sight of the buried sidewalks, Jim took to Instagram to issue a stern warning to his followers.
“Pause pause ayooooo myself lol. My professional estimation is that we’ve received 5 to 7 inches of snow in less than 24 hours,” he wrote. The Hood n me says the snowfall is taller than your timberlands. Get the fuck out of here.”
But Jim isn’t working this storm alone. He’s calling on his “weather correspondence” from every corner of the city to step outside and provide live updates. He urged fans to send in their own measurements so the public can stay informed on exactly how deep the powder is getting in their neighborhoods.
Beyond the numbers, the Weavahman had some crucial fashion advice for anyone thinking about stepping out into the cold. “Make sure the people get the right wravah reports so they know how to dress and don’t dress to impress,” Jim warned. “Don’t dress to get fresh, stay warm and cozy, jack out here kicking a**.”
With Winter Storm Fern causing massive travel delays and turning the East Coast into a giant ice box, Jim’s lighthearted reporting is the exact kind of energy needed to get through the deep freeze.
