Speaking during a recent appearance on “Way Up with Angela Yee,” the New Edition singer explained why he rarely responds to rumors surrounding his personal life. He said there are parts of his life that he chooses to keep private, regardless of public speculation.

Gill acknowledged that conversations about his romantic life and sexuality have circulated for years. While he often lets rumors pass without response, he stressed there is a point where silence ends.

“When you lie on me and say you saw something that you didn’t see, something I’ve never done in my life, that’s where it becomes a problem. That’s when I got with the lawyers, and they say, ‘This is defamation,’” Gill stated. His words made it clear that false claims will be met with legal action.

By taking this stance, Gill reinforced his commitment to privacy while defending his reputation. He may not respond to every rumor, but he will not allow fabricated stories to go unchallenged.
