Drake’s copyright lawsuit has been thrown out after prosecutors got harassed by the plaintiff.
Rapper Angelou Skywalker recently filed a copyright lawsuit against Drake over his “Way 2 Sexy” single. However, the case is now dismissed due to Skywalker’s “repeated misconduct” toward the presiding judge and prosecutors.
According to AllHipHop, Skywalker repeatedly sent inappropriate emails to both the prosecutors and U.S. district judge Colleen Kollar-Kotelly. In addition, Skywalker also filed over 50 irrelevant motions.
In one motion, Skywalker demanded the courts to “tell Aubrey that if he doesn’t show up then I’ll become Adonis’s Dad one day while he’s off sniffing up other stinky butt bites thinking about the next way to set they pum-pump p*ssy on [fire].”
Skywalker was also accused of sending a vulgar picture to Judge Kollar-Kotelly. The details of the image were not described in the court documents.
Judge Kollar-Kotelly not only dismissed the case but issued an order of protection against Skywalker. The document states Skywalker must “stay more than 100 yards away from Defendants’ and Defendants’ counsels’ places of business and stay more than 100 yards away from and have no contact with Defendant’s counsel, except at judicially sanctioned events.”
The order was issued after Skywalker threatened the attorneys representing Drake and his co-defendants, as well as their families.
Skywalker originally stated that Drake obtained access to his song “Reach For Skies” after it had been uploaded to the Universal Music Group-owned site Spinnup.
In the official ruling, Judge Kollar-Kotelly determined that the single did not share enough similarities with Skywalker’s song to justify a copyright violation.
“Way 2 Sexy” which featured Future and Young Thug, is Drake’s lead single on his Certified Lover Boy album. The song earned the number one spot on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart, becoming Drake’s ninth number-one single.
