Atlanta just gave K Camp his flowers, literally and officially. The platinum-certified rapper and hometown hero now has his own day, with September 28 officially declared “K Camp Day” by the city.
During the grand finale of his sold-out KISS 6 Tour, the city council surprised the artist with a proclamation delivered by Councilman Byron Amos. The crowd erupted as K Camp accepted the honor in front of a packed house of fans who’ve been riding with him for over a decade.
“K CAMP has helped define Atlanta’s musical identity,” Amos said, recognizing the artist’s impact not only in music but also through his community work.
What sets K Camp apart isn’t just the hits. Through his CAMPSGIVING foundation, he’s hosted food drives, holiday giveaways, and hands-on volunteer events that support the city’s underserved communities. It’s that mix of artistry and action that earned him this moment.
Now, K Camp is thinking bigger. He revealed to TMZ that he’s planning a full-on RARE Sound Festival to coincide with “K Camp Day,” turning the honor into an annual celebration of music, culture, and unity in Atlanta.
