Kamala Harris came through with some serious energy during an interview that aired during the 2024 BET Awards.
During the interview, she discussed Donald Trump’s “Project 2025” initiative, saying it would not benefit middle-class families.
“It would do things like eliminate overtime pay,” Harris explained. “It would get rid of the Department of Education, including Head Start. [It’d] do the work of trying to destroy our democracy and really work against middle-class folks.” She urged people to do their research, saying, “Google ‘Project 2025’ and understand what it’s about before you vote for that man.”
Harris also dropped some gems about the power of voting, reminding folks, “You should never let anyone silence you. Because when you vote you have the ability to determine the future of our country.”
While touching on key issues like voting and policy, nobody expected her to throw shade at Trump.
“This is a man who’ll posture like, ‘Hey, support me because I’m tough and strong.’ But he’s weak.”
Kamala’s message was loud and clear: do your homework and vote!
