Kanye West Gave Taylor Swift & Ray J A Heads Up Before Name Dropping On Album

Kanye West previewed his seventh studio album, “The Life Of Pablo,” Thursday at Madison Square Garden and by now you’ve either witnessed it for yourself,  or heard someone else talking about it. A couple of tracks stood out due to Kanye name dropping some very iconic moments in his life; namely his “beef” with Ray J and that time he ambushed Taylor Swift’s MTV VMA acceptance.

On one track Kanye raps, “I feel like me and Taylor might still have sex, I made that bitch famous.” Taylor Swift’s brother, Austin, posted a video of him throwing away his Yeezy Boosts, a clear indicator of how he felt about the song. However, according to Yeezy himself, he had an hour-long conversation with Taylor prior to dropping the song. “I called Taylor and had a hour long convo with her about the line and she thought it was funny and gave her blessings,” tweeted Kanye. “I’m not even gone take credit for the idea. It was actually something Taylor came up with it. She was having dinner with one of our friends, whose name I will keep out of this, and she told him, ‘I can’t be mad at Kanye because he made me famous!'”

On another track Kanye says, “Me and Ray J would probably be friends if we wasn’t in love with the same bitch.” Then he says, “you might have hit it first, but I’m rich, though.” Sources say Kanye ran his lyrics by Ray J before dropping them also.

Apparently Kanye ran into Ray’s sister, Brandy, when the two had a conversation. He asked her to relay to her brother that he meant no disrespect by the lyrics and that it was all in pure fun. A rep for Kanye also contacted Ray J’s management to reaffirm he got the message. It’s unknown whether or not the message officially made it to Ray J, but so far he hasn’t reacted so all seems well.
