Kenya Moore Weighs In On NeNe Leakes’ Bravo Return And Kandi Burruss’ Heartbreaking Divorce

Kenya Moore is opening up about the latest shifts in the Real Housewives universe, and as usual, she isn’t holding back, even if she’s trying to keep the “shade” at a minimum.

During a recent update with fans the reality star touched on everything from NeNe Leakes’ long-awaited return to Bravo to the shocking end of Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker’s marriage.

Addressing the rumors of NeNe’s homecoming, Kenya made it clear that despite their rocky history, she’s rooting for the OG. “So you guys know that NeNe and I are in a really good place right now, but even when we are not in a good place, I still am a fan,” Kenya shared. “I still think that she is one of the most iconic reality stars of all time, and I’m happy that that door is open for her to return.”

Kenya also questioned the casting choices for the recent Real Housewives Ultimate Girls Trip (RHUGT). While she acknowledged that Porsha Williams’ presence on the show was likely part of a larger deal with NBC Universal, she felt the “nostalgia” factor was missing an essential ingredient. “When it comes to NeNe or an OG from Atlanta, I do feel that NeNe or Shereé [Whitfield] should have been a part of that main cast,” Kenya noted. “We want to see nostalgic, you know, RHOA at its prime, and Shereé was a part of that, and obviously NeNe was a part of that. I just kind of feel like maybe they missed the mark a little bit when it came to casting.”

The conversation took a more somber turn when Kenya discussed the recent divorce filing between Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker. As a close friend to Kandi, Kenya admitted the news hits close to home. “There’s a part of me that’s like super sad about that because I’m just such a lover of love… I was always an advocate for Todd. I used to tell Kandi, ‘He’s good for you.’ So to see them going through what they’re going through is pretty heartbreaking.”

Kenya, who has dealt with her own public marital struggles, offered a word of advice for women in similar positions. “Women need to know that you need to always be with someone who is a ride or die for you… at some point, you know, and women, you know, we give people a lot of chances. We shouldn’t, but obviously a marriage deserves more of a chance because the stakes are higher.”

While the divorce is clearly taking a toll, Kenya confirmed that Kandi is doing her best to navigate the “difficult” process.
