Kerrion Franklin Slams Family Once Again For Being Excluded From Holiday Card Photoshoot

Just when we thought things between Kirk Franklin and his son had improved, Kerrion Franklin is once again bashing his father publicly, and this time it involves a Christmas card.

On Thursday, the Zeus Network reality star shared a photo of his estranged family on his Instagram Story. In the picture that Kirk originally shared, the famous gospel star is seen smiling alongside his wife Tammy and their children, 33-year-old Carrington, 25-year-old Kennedy, and 22-year-old Caziah. Carrington’s husband and son are also in the image smiling for the beautiful holiday picture. On his Instagram, the “Melodies From Heaven” singer reflected on his imperfect parenthood journey in the photo’s caption.

“There are no perfect families, so this holiday season takes that pressure off of yourself and love the flaws, failures, and blemishes of your human family,” he wrote.

However, when Kerrion posted the photo on his social media, he was not doing so to show off his loved ones. Instead, he was pointing out the fact that he was excluded from the photoshoot.

“I’m never invited to these pics. Let him enjoy his fantasy,” he wrote on the now-deleted Story post.

Kerrion and Kirk have had a rocky relationship for years. In early 2021, Kerrion leaked a heated recorded conversation between him and his father. In the tape, the gospel icon is heard using profanity toward Kerrion as they clash over a lack of respect. During a June 2022 appearance on The Breakfast Club, Kirk suggested that his son was battling mental issues.

After a brief jail stint this year, Kerrion thanked his father in an Instagram post, appearing that the two had improved their relationship. Unfortunately, this week’s post confirmed that the two are still not on the best of terms.

Kirk Franklin has not yet responded publicly to his son, though he likely won’t. In previous interviews following their fallout, Kirk has stated he prefers to keep their issues private.
