Nearly two months after the cheating scandal between Khloe Kardashian’s baby daddy, Tristan Thompson, and longtime KarJenner family friend, Jordyn Woods, sources say the youngest Kardashian sister is doing well, as “her heartbreak seems to have passed.”
“Her mood is much lighter,” a source told PEOPLE. “Although she really wanted Tristan to come around, grow up and be a man, she seems to have realized that she’s much better off now. Everyone is happy to see her happier.”
Despite Khloe’s recent epiphany, she’s not ready to jump back into the dating scene. But, apparently, she knows to choose wisely in the future.
“Khloe isn’t dating, but at least she’s able to talk and joke about dating,” the source said. “She realizes with True around now; she just needs to be super picky.” In fact, she opened up about adjusting her dating preferences on Monday’s episode of Jimmy Kimmel Live.
“I like what I like. What can I say?” Khloe said, when Kimmel asked if she’d stop dating ballers. “I do agree that I should have listened to MJ, my grandmother, that I should probably start to date accountants or something like that.”
In the meantime, Khloe is taking this time alone to heal. “It’s going to take so long for her to rebuild trust with anyone,” the source said. “It will take her a long time to date again. A significant amount of time.”
As for the lingering beef between the KarJenners and the Woods over the February scandal, it appears things are settling down between the feuding families. Kim Kardashian opened up about the drama to Entertainment Tonight, saying, “I think there’s always a time and a place for everything and I think boundaries are good, lessons are good, forgiveness is good.”
“It’s all good,” she said. “But you really have to talk to the people that were more involved.”
