Killer Mike Says Black People Deserve “Big Stake” In Weed Industry

Killer Mike is advocating for Blacks to receive a large share of the blossoming cannabis industry, especially in his home state of Georgia.

During a sit down with “TMZ Live,” the Atlanta activist and rapper spoke about his new line of marijuana that he has put out. The “Don’t Die” rapper also advocated for the full legalization of marijuana in the state of Georgia.

“There needs to be a presence of African American ownership in Georgia with marijuana. We have had young men serve ten, twenty, thirty, forty years, and then they get out, and they cannot participate in the trade that they help build.” He went on to add, “I wanna demand normal, other marijuana organizations out there to get people of color on the forefront. And I’ma be frank and say Black folks deserve a big stake. We deserve at least 25% of the cannabis industry because it has truly been built on our back.”

Killer Mike is challenging Joe Biden to decriminalize marijuana and is planning a protest on the unofficial smokers holiday, April 20th, to show his support for the legalization of recreational weed use.

During his presidential campaign, Joe Biden has supported decriminalizing weed possession and expunging records that contain offenses pertaining to marijuana.
