The defamation trial between Megan Thee Stallion and blogger Milagro Gramz is drawing attention for the unexpected names attached to it.
A new filing reveals that Kylie Jenner and Joe Budden have been identified as potential witnesses for the defense when the case begins later this year.
Megan filed the lawsuit against Milagro Gramz, accusing her of spreading false and damaging claims online. Megan connects the alleged smear campaign to Tory Lanez’s 2022 trial, where he was found guilty of shooting her in a July 2020 attack.
Jenner’s position on the witness list appears to connect directly to that night. She hosted the Hollywood pool party where Megan spent time before the shooting occurred. The party later became a key detail in the criminal case against Lanez, which resulted in his conviction two years after the incident.
Budden’s appearance on the list is tied to his role as a media figure within hip hop. His past commentary about Megan may play a role in the defense’s strategy, but the court records do not outline what specific information he is expected to provide.
In addition to Budden and Jenner, the witness list also includes Lanez, his father Sonstar Peterson, music executive Carl Crawford who ran Megan’s former label 1501 Records, and media personality Jason Lee. Each of these individuals has had some public connection to Megan’s career or the controversy surrounding the Lanez case.
For Megan, the lawsuit represents more than a personal dispute with a blogger. She has framed the case as a fight to stop the spread of harmful online behavior. “It’s time to hold bloggers accountable for years of harassment, cyberbullying, and the publication of misinformation about my personal and professional life,” she said in a statement earlier this year.
The trial will be held in the Southern District of Florida and is scheduled to begin on November 17, 2025.
With Jenner and Budden now connected to the case, their potential testimony could add unexpected turns to a lawsuit that already places Megan’s public image and the role of online media under intense scrutiny.
