Kylie Jenner for Austrailia

Kylie Jenner Makes Massive $1 Million Donation To Australian Wildfire Relief Following Backlash Over Real $1,480 Mink Slippers

According to PEOPLE, Kylie Jenner has donated $1 million to help with the Australian wildfire relief, a crisis that has sadly taken the lives of 25 people and millions of animals as of Monday.

This move comes just after being trolled on the internet for posting a picture of her mink fur slippers after sharing how heartbroken she was about the animals that have lost their lives in the wildfire.

However, a source has revealed exclusively to PEOPLE that Kylie does in fact care and meant no harm behind her post.

“Kylie’s post was completely unintentional. Kylie stands behind her desire to want to help provide relief towards the devastation the fires have caused,” the insider revealed to the news publication.

Not only has Kylie been targeted by social media users, one Twitter user expressed their annoyance with the entire family assuming they haven’t donated to the cause.

“Nothing gets me more heated than to see the Kardashians/ Jenners y’all about climate change/ wildfires & not donate even a penny,” the angry user wrote in the now-deleted tweet.

However, Kim Kardashian responded to the uninformed fan writing, “nothing gets me more heated than to see people think they know what we donated to and to think we have to publicize everything.”

According to the NPR, the fires will last for months.

Other celebrities who have spoken out about the cause and have donated to help put an end to this tragedy include Nicole Kidman, P!nk, Keith Urban, Chris Hemsworth, and more.
