A viral instance of face-swapping has taken social media by storm, forcing one influencer to issue an apology. The Lauren Blake apology comes after creator Tatiana Elizabeth publicly addressed what she identified as unauthorized use of her image.

Tatiana walked viewers through the situation, pointing out how closely the images aligned.

“Bar for bar, the weirdest part about this is that it’s not even an AI influencer. This is a real person who used AI to put her head on my body,” she said. She also kept her tone direct but controlled, adding, “I’m just a little perplexed. I just want to know the reason.”

She made it clear she expected accountability early on.

“The nice and accountable thing to do would be to reach out and at least apologize to the person whose photo you took,” Tatiana said, noting there had been no initial response.

Following the growing attention, the post was removed, and Lauren Blake issued a statement.

“I want to address a recent post created by a third-party AI content agency I’ve been working with,” she said, attributing the post to outside involvement. She added, “I take full responsibility for what appears on my platforms.”

Blake also acknowledged, “an image posted utilized the work and likeness of a Black creator in a way that is entirely inconsistent with my values,” and stated, “The post was removed, and I have spoken with the creator privately to apologize.”

She concluded, “I am deeply sorry for the hurt this has caused the original creator and the community at large.”

However, the explanation has kept the focus on timing and responsibility, as Tatiana’s callout came before any public response or acknowledgment.
