Fans can’t get enough of ‘Law & Order,’ and it looks like they won’t have to as the hit show has just been renewed through season 24.

NBC has announced an order for three more seasons of the series.

“I’ve thoroughly enjoyed working with [creator Dick Wolf] over the decades, and it goes without saying he remains one of the most influential producers in history,” said Bonnie Hammer, chairman of NBCUniversal Content Studios to Variety. “He is a visionary unlike any other whose impact has changed the entire television landscape.”

Currently airing its 21st season,  ‘Law & Order: Special Victims Unit’ makes history as it becomes the ‘longest-running live-action primetime television show,’ PEOPLE reports, thus surpassing ‘Gunsmoke’ and the original ‘Law & Order’ which both ended at 20 seasons.

Show creator Dick Wolf has a lot to celebrate as he also ‘has signed a 5-year overall pact that will see his Wolf Entertainment continue to create and develop new projects for Universal TV,’ The Hollywood Reporter, reveals.

The shows included in the ‘monstrous’ deal are all of Wolf’s NBC dramas such as ‘Chicago Fire,’ ‘Chicago PD,’ ‘Chicago Med,’ and ‘Law & Order: SVU.’

The deal doesn’t stop there as It also includes ‘multiple series commitments’ for future projects by Wolf Entertainment.

The deal also includes multiple projects on NBCU’s Peacock as well.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, sources reveal that Wolf’s recent deal with NBC and library deal with Peacock have a combined value of $1 billion.

“We’re confident in saying this is the largest deal in TV history,” an inside source told The Hollywood Reporter.

“I’m gratified and excited that Universal will remain our home for five more years,” Wolf said in a statement. “This new term deal complements our recently concluded agreement to make Peacock one of the primary destinations for both the L&O and Chicago brands, as well as our extraordinary three-year NBC broadcast pickups on all four current series. We are now supercharged to expand our business on new platforms, both domestically and internationally, while continuing to produce our current and future series for broadcasting and streaming networks.”

UTV President Pearlena Igbokwe spoke highly of Wolf, stating, “Dick has proven himself masterful at building successful, iconic brands and telling gripping, intelligent and thought-provoking stories. It’s an honor and pleasure to be a part of the Wolf Pack for the next five years. We’re also grateful to NBC for their continued support of the Law & Order and Chicago drama series.”

Wolf has a busy schedule as he currently has six shows on air, including ‘NBC’s Law & Order: SVU,’ ‘Chicago Fire,’ ‘Chicago Med,’ and CBS’ ‘FBI’ and it’s spinoff ‘FBI: Most Wanted.’

NBC Entertainment Chairman Paul Telegdy insists that Wolf knows his audience and that’s why his shows work stating, “Dick Wolf has proven time and time again that he makes shows audiences love.”

“We are delighted, excited and proud that as part of this epic deal with Wolf Entertainment, NBC’s loyal audience will know that their favorite shows have a certain future for the next three years,” Telegdy continued.
