Lawrence Anderson Receives Life Sentence For Killing Uncle, 4-year-old, & Woman whose heart he cut out and cooked

An Oklahoma man who pleaded guilty to killing three people received a life sentence.

Lawrence Paul Anderson pleaded guilty to the crimes, which included ripping out and cooking the heart of one of the victims. The horrendous murders happened just weeks after he was mistakenly released from prison, officials said.

Anderson was convicted on multiple counts of murder, maiming, assault, and battery for the 2021 murders of Andrea Lynn Blankenship, 41, his uncle Leon Pye, 67, and Pye’s granddaughter, 4-year-old Kaeos Yates.

Anderson’s aunt, Delsie Pye, 66, was also injured in the attack, the New York Post reported.

Anderson didn’t receive the death penalty because of his guilty pleas.

The victims’ loved ones lashed out at him in court on Wednesday, with one telling him to “rot from the inside out.”

Yates’ mother, Tasha, spoke during Anderson’s sentencing, at one point asking, “Who kills a baby … who does that?”

Prosecutor Jason Hicks said the families did not want to go to trial, “They don’t want to sit in a courtroom and listen to all the gory details of what happened to their loved ones,” he said during a press conference following the sentencing.

Anderson was released from prison when his 20-year drug-related sentence was commuted in response to a mistaken recommendation from Oklahoma’s Pardon and Parole Board.

Authorities say Anderson fatally stabbed Blankenship after breaking into her house. He then removed her heart and took it to the Pyes’ home, where he cooked it and tried to feed it to his relatives before killing his uncle and Yates.

His aunt was repeatedly stabbed but survived.
