LeBron James to Make Team Announcement Live on ESPN Thursday Night

In the biggest display of grand standing and shameless self promotion, LeBron James has decided to put the entire sports world out of it misery on Thursday, when he announces live on ESPN where he intends to sign for the 2010 NBA season, in an one hour special. All money and ads for the hour long special will be donated to the Boy and Girl Club of America.

Reports of the decision started to leak out Tuesday night which also happens to be the day LeBron decided to spontaneously join Twitter (@kingjames) *that already has close to 200,000 followers and ONE tweet*
Since July 1st many sports outlets have been on pins and needles awaiting the decision of James and his impending future in the league. Although it’s hard to believe that the superstar will take to national television to embarrass his hometown and current team the Cleveland Cavaliers by walking away from them in such in an indiscreet fashion. However, others would beg to differ in that there would be no way James would go through all of this just to stay in Cleveland. Whatever his decision and wherever he goes, opinions from fans on the young player range from anger and annoyance to hope and optimism that he’ll choose the team they root for.
Until then, the speculation will of course continue as we wait another 48 hours for his decision.
Where do you think LeBron will land? Will he remain a Cavalier or explore his multiple team options?
