Local Fox News Anchor In D.C. Suspended for Tweeting He’s “Annoyed Obese People” Are Given COVID Vaccine Priority

A Fox 5 News anchor in D.C. was suspended on Tuesday after he made insensitive remarks, expressing his displeasure with the COVID-19 vaccination rollout in Washington, D.C.

According to People, news anchor Blake McCoy tweeted in a since deleted post, “I’m annoyed obese people of all ages get priority vaccine access before all essential workers when most stayed home, we went into work everyday last March, April, May and everyday since putting ourselves & loved ones at risk,” he wrote.

“Vaccinate all essential workers. Then obese,” he continued.

Shortly after his insensitive post McCoy tweeted an apology.
