Louis Vuitton Honoring Virgil Abloh With Re-Release of Key Pieces From Archive

Louis Vuitton will continue to keep the Virgil Abloh name alive with the re-release of archived pieces designed by the visionary before his untimely passing on November 28th, 2021.

LV has partnered with designer retailer Dover Street Market Ginza to sell some of the most stunning pieces created by Virgil during his nearly four-year reign as the artistic director of menswear. The market will carry eight full looks from Virgil’s catalog, along with several other archival and custom pieces from the high-end brand.

DSM Ginza’s Tokyo location will carry the exclusive collection between October 29th and November 15th. Neither LV nor DSM Ginza has confirmed exactly which pieces customers will have to choose from, but the items will undoubtedly be goods from the men’s archives. Some memorable things that fans are hoping to see in the re-release are the unique Louis Vuitton x Nike Air Force One and the fall 2020 “Heaven on Earth” collection.

DSM Ginza partnering with Louis Vuitton is a part of their tenth-anniversary rollout, which includes collaborations with several brands, including luxury streetwear brand Chrome Hearts and Gucci. Another of Virgil’s creations will be getting the DSM Ginza treatment, with them releasing a custom new Off-White t-shirt as part of the market. Items in the 10th-anniversary collection will range in price from $150 to $1,640.
