TMZ caught up with the NBA champ and he said, “Hmm, no. I’m not looking forward to it. I’ll leave it at that.”

The series will cover the professional and basketball lives of the 1980s Los Angeles Lakers. The cast includes Quincy Isaiah as Magic Johnson, Jason Segel and John C. Reilly just to name a few. He did tell the media outlet that he’s looking forward to some upcoming projects that he’s working on.

He says, “No, we got different shows coming out.” He continues, “I got one, then you got Jeanie Buss got one on Showtime coming out. Those are the ones I’m looking forward to.”

Johnson helped the Lakers become “Showtime” Lakers with NBA legends Kareem Abdul-Jabbar and James WorthyThey were the dream team.

It even looks like the series dives into Johnson’s early relationship with Cookie, his longtime wife. Though we can expect little on the project from the legend himself, his impact on basketball changed the game forever which is what the series dives into.
