“Magic Mike” Reality Competition Series Produced By Channing Tatum Headed To HBO Max

The hit movie “Magic Mike” will be turned into an unscripted competition show, and it’s headed to HBO Max.

According to Deadline, the streaming service has ordered “The Real Magic Mike” from executive producers Channing Tatum & Steven Soderbergh.

The series will follow a group of men trying to find out if they have what it takes to become real-life Magic Mikes. 

The ten contestants are described as men who have “lost their magic.”

The competition will document the men as they bare their souls and learn sexy routines for judges in the hopes of becoming the Real Magic Mike.

“From box office hits to sold-out live shows, Magic Mike has proven to be a pop-culture juggernaut that continues to delight people across the globe,” Sarah Aubrey, Head of Original Content at HBO Max, said. “We’re excited to work with Channing, Steven, and the team behind Magic Mike Live to continue this successful franchise that celebrates self-confidence and sexiness both inside and out.”

The competition winner will pocket a cash prize and an opportunity to perform in Las Vegas on the Magic Mike Live stage.
