A 53-year-old man shot and killed a postal worker in Pennsylvania Thursday morning, and investigators say the gunman believed the victim was poisoning him.
Eric Kortz allegedly gunned down Louis Vignone, a 58-year-old veteran USPS mail carrier, in Collier Township at about 10:15 a.m.
Kortz told authorities that he and Vignone were former neighbors, and he believed that the postman had been poisoning his family with cyanide.
The suspect told investigators that he tracked Vignone’s mail route and allegedly confessed to investigators that he set out to “put some bullets in” him.
Kortz reportedly drove to the precinct shortly after the deadly shooting, where he was charged with Vignone’s murder.
