Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene made it clear Tuesday that she’s fed up with the silence coming from her own party. During a tense GOP conference call, Greene tore into Republican leadership and the White House over their failure to address a looming health care crisis.
“I said I have no respect for the House not being in session passing our bills and the President’s executive orders,” Greene posted on Twitter in response to Jake Sherman’s of the call. “And I demanded to know from Speaker Johnson what the Republican plan for healthcare is.”
You left out that I said I have no respect for the House not being in session passing our bills and the President’s executive orders.
And I demanded to know from Speaker Johnson what the Republican plan for healthcare is to build the off-ramp off Obamacare and the ACA tax… https://t.co/eiY6M8tJyD

She said GOP inaction could double or triple ACA premiums for millions. With open enrollment starting November 1, Greene warned that Americans may drop coverage in 2026 if prices spike.
On the call, she accused Republicans of “letting the country down.” Speaker Johnson pushed back, saying committees are working on solutions. But Greene wasn’t impressed.
“Johnson said he’s got ideas and pages of policy ideas… but he refused to give one policy proposal to our GOP conference,” she wrote. “Apparently, I have to go into a SCIF to find out the Republican healthcare plan!!!”
She also blasted the shutdown strategy, saying it’s hurt Trump’s popularity and demanded the House return to session.
Johnson reportedly rejected Greene’s push to end the Senate filibuster, a move she says is needed to act on health care now.
