Mark Tatum To Succeed Adam Silver as NBA’s Deputy Commissioner

VP Mark Tatum is said to be getting a promotion which would make him one of the highest-ranking African-Americans in professional sports. The 45 year old Cornell and Harvard Business School grad is currently executive vice president of global marketing partnerships and has worked with the NBA for 14 years. He has also previously worked for Major League Baseball.

Mark Tatum is up for Adam Silver’s current job as NBA Deputy Commissioner while Silver takes David Stern’s commissioner job on February 1st.

I’m anxious to see what all of the new changes will mean for the league.
