Mary J. Blige and Pepsi Come Together to Produce Upcoming ‘Strength of a Woman Festival and Summit’; Chaka Khan, City Girls and More to Perform

Mary J. Blige and Pepsi are teaming up with Live Nation Urban to bring audiences the upcoming concert music festival “Strength of a Woman Festival and Summit.”

“Strength of a Woman Festival and Summit” is a three-day festival that is set to feature activities centered around music, comedy and community building. The event, which was curated for and by women, will take place in Atlanta, Georgia, during Mother’s Day weekend from May 6 to May 8. Several stars, including Chaka Khan, music group Xscape, Omeretta The Great, City Girls, and more, are all slated to hit the stage and perform. Ella Mai and Mary J. Blige are also expected to grab the mic.

“The idea for the festival came to us after early listening sessions of my latest album with my family and friends and women in the industry. Each time, the people in the room would share a story, oftentimes of heartbreak or pain, but they always ended with joy and love and how their girlfriends or mom or sister helped them find their voice and strength. We felt like after two years of being inside and having to endure so much, that this was the type of experience that people, especially women, deserved,” says Blige.

“I’m so grateful to all of the performers, vendors, and participants for committing themselves to our inaugural event and I am so excited to do this in a city that has been rocking with me since the very beginning of my career. I am proud to create this with my sisters and I look forward to an undeniably beautiful and special experience,” Blige continued.

Presale tickets will be available starting Tuesday, March 8 at 10 a.m. ET. They can be purchased at ticketmaster.com with pre-sale code BALLER.

The event will be hosted by Kenny Burns and co-produced by Pepsi.
