Rapper Max B is officially out of prison as of Sunday, November 9, 2025.
After spending years behind bars, he is now on five years of supervised release, essentially probation, as he reintegrates into society.
Max B’s legal journey has been long and complicated.
He was originally sentenced to 75 years in prison, a sentence stemming from his conviction in connection to a 2006 murder case.
However, his conviction was vacated in 2016, opening the door for a new resolution. He later pleaded guilty to aggravated manslaughter, which resulted in a 20-year sentence with time served, allowing him to walk free this week.
The release marks a major turning point for the Harlem rapper, whose music career and life were put on hold by the lengthy legal process.
Max B is expected to spend the next five years under supervision, complying with the terms of his release as he resumes life outside prison.
