Meek Mill took to social media Wednesday to respond to a wave of resurfaced stories about a 2014 birthday party hosted by Diddy, accusing media outlets of targeting Black men with sensationalized narratives.

The renewed attention stems from a Daily Mail report detailing the extravagant Las Vegas party, which has been picked up by outlets like Page Six, reigniting conversations around Meek Mill’s ties to Diddy. The story described the event held at the Parisian Palace as a wild celebration involving exotic dancers, lingerie-clad performers, and a naked sushi model. Property manager Jason Haight shared video footage and claimed the aftermath of the party included discarded condoms, bloodstained bedding, and remnants of drug use. In response, Meek released a series of tweets calling out the media for what he sees as deliberate attempts to tarnish his name and the image of Black men in general.

“None of these publications are owned by black men posting things to destroy the names and brands of the culture! Ima stand on this I know it’s somebody behind this! Ima start a war behind it too when I find out!!!!” Meek shared on X, along with a screengrab of publications that reported the story.

The rapper also questioned the timing of these stories, suggesting they are part of a larger pattern of discrediting Black men. He expressed frustration with PR professionals who once surrounded him, writing, “Just think about it—you are waking up to a bunch of non black owned publication posting major lies about me! Where all the PR people go that was around me! Everybody see what’s going on. I’m not gonna be quiet—it’s was war on black men!”

Meek singled out Page Six in another tweet, accusing the publication of previously sharing positive stories about him before pivoting to negativity, adding, “When I see Page Six post something it gives me a bad vibe…. Go back 2 years ago they posted only good Meek Mill news! I know how these things work!”

While addressing the media coverage, Meek also touched on the ongoing legal troubles faced by Diddy, who is currently awaiting trial on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. Meek stated, “They putting black men in jail off stories … I wish Puff well—he’s a black man. I hope he didn’t do most of that shit they saying he did …. Why y’all so scared to talk? Y’all must got shit in closet! My past the streets—it’s nothing to hide!”

The controversy surrounding the 2014 party follows broader media coverage of Diddy’s fall from grace, including allegations of misconduct and resurfaced rumors about his relationship with Meek Mill. Meek, however, appears determined to challenge what he sees as unfair narratives, calling on others to recognize and speak out against the systemic targeting of Black men in the media.
