Megan Thee Stallion and Roc Nation are headed back to court—and this time, it’s not about music rights or management drama. A federal judge just ruled that a lawsuit filed by former cameraman Emilio Garcia, who claims he was forced to witness Megan having sex with another woman in a moving SUV during a European tour, can move forward.
Garcia says the alleged encounter happened in Ibiza back in 2022 while he was working on Megan’s team. According to court docs, the openly gay cameraman says being exposed to that moment wasn’t just uncomfortable—it created a hostile work environment based on his sexual orientation. He argues Megan would’ve never done something like that in front of a straight male employee.
Megan and Roc Nation have tried to get the case thrown out, calling Garcia a “con artist” and denying any inappropriate behavior happened. But Judge Gregory H. Woods disagreed. In a July 2 ruling, he said Garcia’s claims are “plausible” and supported enough for the case to continue, especially the allegations of discrimination and retaliation.
Garcia also says that once he complained about what happened in Ibiza, his work hours and pay were cut. Eventually, he says he was let go completely and blacklisted from the entertainment industry.
While some parts of his lawsuit got tossed—like certain California-based legal claims and unpaid wage accusations—the core of the case is still standing strong. Garcia’s attorney says they’ve already conducted 14 depositions and are ready to re-file the dismissed claims with even more details.
As of now, Megan and Roc Nation will have to fight this one in court.
