Megan Thee Stallion is having the ultimate #hotgirlsummer and she shared some of her favorite beauty tips with Allure magazine.
Megan shared her beauty routine telling the magazine that her favorite go-to product is cheap beauty supply lip gloss.
“I love beauty supply lip gloss. Any cheap, 99-cent lip gloss. I use it, it stays on all day. You can eat anything and it will still be on your lips. You can drink anything, it’s still on there. Beauty supply lip gloss is lit. I would buy that before I would buy some $20 one.”
Some of her other favorite products are black liquid eyeliner, NYX brown lip pencil, and Rihanna’s Fenty Foundation.
The rapper also shared that her beauty style is affected by her Houston, Texas roots.
“Texas beauty is just exaggerated. Either you are very Southern, I feel like over-the-top pageant [looks], big hair, and French-tip nails — things like that. Or you’re like, natural, big, thick type beauty. You know what I’m saying? I feel like I’m somewhere in the middle because I love exaggerated eyeliner and I love big lashes. But I still don’t even know how to beat my friends down as a regular makeup artist would. I cut corners — people think my makeup is so nice and they think I probably do so much to get that look. I’m not even using the right brushes. I know I’m not. But it just comes out good.”
Meg is also using her platform to bring awareness to environmental issues and encouraging her fans to become more eco-friendly. She told the story of a twitter exchange with a fan that helped her realize she needed to do her part including deciding to try to become a vegan.
“Going vegan is hard. I’m like a pescatarian now. I’ll eat vegan food. Definitely, it’s really good. But being on the road, it’s really hard to just only find vegan options. So definitely living that pescatarian lifestyle right now, ” she tells the magazine.
The rapper also confirmed that she decided to trademark “hot girl summer” after the success of her hit single featuring Nicki Minaj and Ty Dolla Sign. She’s looking to cash in on the phrase that’s dominated all 2019.
“I really didn’t even know that it was gonna catch on how it did. It was just me talking shit, telling everybody I was gonna be me for the summer, and they should be them too, like as free as they can be,” she said. “When I saw Wendy’s and Forever 21 saying, ‘Hey, are you having a Hot Girl Summer?’ I was like, ‘Hell no, Forever 21, you’re going to have to pay me.’ But I just wanted to get it trademarked because it’s me. It’s my thing.”
