Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are not suing the creators of “South Park,” despite recent reports.

Wednesday’s episode of the Comedy Central series featured a royal couple, with the husband being a “Prince of Canada” who relocated to Colorado with his princess wife. The characters are modeled after Prince Harry and Markle, with the animated male character rocking ginger hair while the female character sporting a Black mane and a classic white hat. Markle has famously been photographed wearing a similar headpiece on several occasions. The episode titled “Worldwide Privacy Tour” focused on a satirical plea for privacy after leaving the security of their royal court.

Rumors quickly began to fly that the couple was pursuing legal action for their portrayal in the long-running animated show. However, a spokesperson for the couple shot down the chatter, calling it “nonsense.”

“Totally baseless, boring reports,” they confirmed to PEOPLE

The real-life royal couple has been vocal about the lack of privacy since exiting Buckingham Palace. They’ve also frequently spoken about their strained relationship with the Palace, particularly due to Markle having a Black mother and the racism they experienced. Since their exit, a media circus has ensued around the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, so “South Park” creating the episode around that narrative was sarcastic yet fitting.

Prince Harry and Markle have not spoken publicly about the episode.
