Melania Trump Hospitalized For Kidney Surgery

Melania Trump was hospitalized Monday for a surgical procedure to treat a kidney illness, CNN reports.

Melania is set to remain under hospital care for the rest of the week.

According to Communications director, Stephanie Grisham, Trump is “doing well” after undergoing embolization procedure on Monday morning to treat a benign kidney condition. Grisham says the surgery went well and that there were no complications.

Donald Trump posted on Twitter Monday evening that he was on the way to visit his wife at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center.

“Heading over to Walter Reed Medical Center to see our great First Lady, Melania. Successful procedure, she is in good spirits. Thank you to all of the well-wishers,” Trump tweeted.
