Baller Alert caught up with beauty boss Ming Lee at the Basketball Wives premiere, where she addressed everything from her relationship with Ty Young to the explosive moments fans can expect this season.
Dressed in cream, Ming accidentally color-coordinated with her ex Ty Young, who showed up in a similar fit — but don’t assume they’re back on good terms just yet. “We actually haven’t even spoken,” Ming admitted. “She just talked to me about communication literally — so I’m really shocked you just said that.”
Although she briefly saw Ty the day before in a hotel lobby, Ming said the two didn’t connect beyond a quick hello. “She was having dinner with Jen, so I let them have that,” she shared.
Asked whether reality TV helped or hurt their relationship, Ming kept it all the way real. “Reality TV has no effect,” she said. “TV didn’t make you do whatever you did for us to break up… All your [stuff] is just going to come out on TV. It proves what’s really inside you.”
Despite their current silence, Ming made it clear there’s no bad blood. “That’s my dog for life regardless. We just fake leaving each other,” she joked. “Y’all gotta pray for us.”
Beyond her relationship drama, Ming promised this season of Basketball Wives is next-level messy. “You got Evelyn and Jen, Jackie vs. everybody, Brandi vs. damn near everybody,” she laughed. “Even me and Ty go at it.”
When asked to sum up the season in one word? Ming didn’t hesitate: “Explosive.”
