Free Agent Catcher Carlos Ruiz re-signs with the Philadelphia Phillies for $26 million dollars over the next three years. Ruiz made his first All-Star team back in 2012, and he hit .268 in 92 games last year after serving a 25-game suspension for using a banned amphetamine, according to Fox Sports. Hopefully he will focus more on baseball because that’s a lot of money to lose if he doesn’t. No banned substance is worth losing $26 million dollars over. I’m just saying.
