A fan asked, “How do you feel about your relationship with Candiace? And do you see there ever being a reconciliation?”
Samuels responded candidly, saying, “There was no relationship and sometimes moving on doesn’t mean that you have to reconcile. Sometimes you just see people for who they are and you know your place and you set your boundaries and it’s okay not to rekindle something that isn’t meant to be rekindled.”
The feud between Samuels and Dillard Bassett began during season 5 of “Real Housewives of Potomac.” The two were once friends on the show, but tensions erupted at a winery when the confrontation became physical, with glass being thrown and hair being pulled. The altercation escalated to the point where police were called. Following the incident, Dillard Bassett filed charges, which she later dropped. The fallout ultimately contributed to Samuels leaving the show.
Since her recent return to the series, Samuels has focused on showcasing her personal growth and healing. While she is not a full time cast member, Samuels is committed to steering clear of the drama, at least for the most part.
