Morris Chestnut is among a producing team behind the new feature film, ‘Greenwood Avenue,’ which details 1921’s Tulsa Race Massacre.
The film will chronicle a Philadelphia lawyer who follows a mysterious lead to Tulsa, Oklahoma, to discover the events of Black Wall Street and her family’s linkage to it.
Tarek Terk Stevens of Terk Entertainment Group and Tressa Azarel Smallwood of MegaMind Media also join Chesnut in producing the film, which is scripted by Daryl Spivey.
The movie is slated to begin filming in fall 2021, with casting already underway.
