Mykelti Williamson To Co-Star In New NBC Legal Drama “Prism”

Mykelti Williamson, best known for his roles in “Forrest Gump,” “Con Air,” “ATL,” “The Final Destination,” and “The Purge: Election Year,” will be taking his talents to NBC for a new legal drama, titled, “Prism.”

According to Deadline, Williamson has been tapped to co-star in the pilot, alongside Malin Akerman, for the Daniel and Ben Barnz We’re Not Brothers Production.

Written and directed by Daniel, ‘Prism’ tells the story of a murder trial through the different perspectives of each person involved. The pilot is inspired by Akira Kurosawa’s 1950 Japanese period psychological thriller, ‘Rashomon.’

Williamson will play the judge, which is a long shot from his role as Denny Woods on ‘Chicago P.D.’
