Negro League Museum Says President Biden’s ‘Negro League’ Comment Was Respectful

The Negro League Museum says President Biden didn’t run afoul by using the word “negro” when referring to the old baseball league.

According to TMZ, the steward of the league defended Biden and applauded him for saying the word.

Biden made the cringe-worthy remarks while speaking on Veterans Day at Arlington National Cemetery. The President said he”adopted the attitude of the great negro at the time.”

He eventually cleared up his flub, which was intended to call out the great Negro League player Satchel Paige.

Bob Kendrick, the President of the Negro Leagues Baseball Museum, told TMZ it clear to him what Biden meant to say but also said it would have been “harmful” if he’d used any other word at that moment.
