Netflix is officially moving on from “The Vince Staples Show,” bringing the comedy series to an end after two seasons. The platform decided not to renew the show following its latest performance review, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The series first arrived in February 2024 and made its return with a second season in November 2025. Starring Vince Staples as a heightened version of himself, the show leaned into surreal humor while exploring identity, grief, and everyday survival through a distinctly offbeat lens.
The cancellation news comes shortly after Netflix published its What We Watched report covering viewing data from July through December 2025. Released on January 20, 2026, the report showed that Season 2 generated 1.7 million views, placing it on the lower end of the streamer’s scripted lineup during that period.
Season 2 pushed the story forward “in the wake of a tragic death,” following Vince as he set out on “a wild journey in search of inner peace,” according to Netflix’s official description. The season expanded the emotional scope of the series while keeping its dry, unpredictable tone intact.
The show also featured Andrea Ellsworth, Vanessa Bell Calloway, Beau Billingslea, and Naté Jones in supporting roles.
The Vince Staples Show” was created by Vince Staples alongside Ian Edelman and Maurice Williams.
Netflix also recently pulled the plug on another project, canceling the Western drama “The Abandons” after one season, ending the Lena Headey and Gillian Anderson-led series.
